About Us
History
We are a unified, affirmative voice for youth-owned business in Mogale City.
The Mogale City Youth Chamber of Commerce (MCYCC), a local chapter of the South African Youth Chamber of Commerce, is an independently registered NPC.
The MCYCC was established following the need to establish a unified, affirmative voice for youth-owned owned businesses in Mogale City, as identified through the IDP process of 2018. This process is to ensure significant participation of youth-owned enterprises in the cities economy.
The key determinant for the success of the chamber is our ability to draw membership from youth-owned businesses in Mogale City as well as; seeking, building, and maintaining the support of the large enterprises with local presence and global impact.
Our actions are centered around:
- Providing leadership to Mogale City’s Youth business community as its premier advocate
- Fostering the development of soundly researched policy positions that reflect the interests of our members
- Influence government in a positive, visible, consistent, and representative manner in favor of young entrepreneurs, and
- Providing assistance to our members through consultation, access to information, the delivery of valuable programs and professional services

- Ensuring sound business environment and unlocking business opportunities for the youth.
- Advancing the broad based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) and advocating for 40% procurement opportunities for youth owned enterprises from private and public sector.
- Making representation directly to the municipality and private sector industry bodies.
- Providing professional support to young entrepreneurs.
